Non Executive Independent Director
Mrs. Yelve serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director on the Board. She brings strong expertise in Finance and Banking and has around 14 years of diverse professional experience. A Commerce graduate from Mumbai University, she also serves as the Chairperson of the Audit Committee, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Stakeholders Relationship Committee.

Rashesh Shah
Chairman & CEO
Rashesh Shah, co-founder, Edelweiss Group, has three decades of diverse experience in the financial markets and has been instrumental in building Edelweiss into one of India’s leading diversified financial services organisations.
Rashesh is passionate about financial services and the role it plays in translating India's vast savings into investments; thereby powering economic growth and development. A regular commentator on macro-economic policies, Rashesh has served as President of FICCI, which is India's apex industry association, in 2017-18.
He has also been a part of the High Level Task Force on Public Credit Registry for India, the Insolvency Law Committee, Executive Committee of the National Stock Exchange as well as the committee to review Insider Trading Regulations set up by SEBI – the country's capital markets regulator.
An MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, he also holds a Diploma in International Trade from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
Himanshu Kaji
Executive Director & COO, Edelweiss Group
Himanshu Kaji has over three decades of diverse experience in the areas of business strategy, risk, finance, regulatory frameworks, process re-engineering, technology, strategy and implementation across the financial services space.
At Edelweiss, he oversees Global Risk, Assurance, Finance & Governance. In addition, he is in charge of Legal & Administration. He is co-chairperson of the FICCI Capital Markets committee and a member of the Secondary Market Advisory Committee of SEBI. He is also on the Trading Member Advisory Committee of the NSE. In the past, he has also served on the board of BSE and played a key role in the overhaul of the Exchange, contributing largely to the demutualisation and corporatisation of BSE. He has been a Corporate Advisor to eminent Indian and global financial services companies.
A Chartered Accountant, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Securities Law.
Rujan Panjwani
Executive Director, Edelweiss Group
Rujan Panjwani has three decades of experience in the financial services industry across multiple business verticals and asset classes.
Over the last 17 years at Edelweiss, he has played a key role in setting up several businesses and functions for the Group including Asset Management, Credit, Group Treasury and the Balance Sheet unit. He is currently a member of the Assets & Liabilities Committee that primarily manages the Group’s balance sheet and the Global Risk Committee, the highest decision-making body in Edelweiss on risk-related issues. He also has strategic oversight on the Insurance businesses.
Rujan spearheaded the iconic Edelweiss Associate Programme that started more than a decade ago and built leaders who are now in senior positions within the Group today. He continues to play a key role in several strategic initiatives for the Group, including driving its Human Resources, Strategy and Business development.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
Venkatchalam Ramaswamy
Vice Chairman, Edelweiss Group
Venkatchalam Ramaswamy, Co-founder of the Company has over two and half decades of experience in the financial markets. Widely recognised as one of India’s finest deal-makers, he co-heads the Global Wealth and Asset Management business, while continuing to play a mentorship role with Edelweiss Investment Banking. Venkat has been instrumental in crafting a client-need focused solutions approach for the Distressed Asset Resolution as well as the ARC business. Today, Edelweiss ARC is the leading ARC in the country.
Using his skills at building and maintaining large institutional relationships including International Pension Funds and Insurance companies, the Edelweiss Global Asset Management team, today is one of the fastest growing multicategory Alternative Asset Management businesses in India.
An MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, United States of America, he also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.
Deepak Mittal
CEO - Credit, Edelweiss Group
Deepak Mittal has around two decades of experience in the financial services arena. He co-heads the Credit business of the Group.
Deepak has played several key roles at Edelweiss, his most recent as CEO of Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, a joint venture between the Edelweiss Group and Tokio Marine Holdings of Japan.
Earlier, Deepak helped scale up the Capital Markets business and then subsequently became the Chief Financial Officer, where he helped steer the firm through a successful Initial Public Offering. Post the IPO, when the global financial crisis disrupted markets the world over, Deepak was part of the core crisis management team at Edelweiss and helped navigate the Group successfully through extremely difficult business situations, while playing a key role in the expansion of various Group businesses.
Deepak led the Group’s new strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Anagram stock broking, which expanded the Group’s retail reach manifold.
A Chemical Engineer from IT-BHU he is an MBA from the IIM Ahmedabad.
Nitin Jain
CEO - Edelweiss Global Investment Advisors, Edelweiss Group
Nitin Jain has over a decade and half of rich experience in the financial services industry and heads the Global Asset & Wealth Management business which has witnessed significant growth, currently managing around USD 26 billion in assets. The business encompasses the entire range of asset management services including Alternative Funds, Mutual Funds, Asset Reconstruction, as well as Wealth Management.
Nitin joined Edelweiss in its early days and has initiated and driven multiple businesses at Edelweiss. He seeded the wealth and asset management business in 2010 and under his leadership, it has grown to be one of the largest in the country. He has played a key role in guiding Edelweiss's transformation from a boutique investment bank into one of India’s leading diversified financial services company.
Nitin is also actively involved with EdelGive Foundation - the strategic philanthropic arm of the Edelweiss Group and is a part of their investment committee. He has a B.Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, with Post Graduation in Management from IIM, Calcutta.
